ISQED Announces Best Paper Awards
Innovations in Design-for-Test and Manufacturing Highlighted in Conference
SAN JOSE, Calif. - March 23, 2004 - The International Society for Quality Electronic Design (ISQED.org) today announced four winners of the best paper awards at the ISQED04 conference held March 22, 2004 in Santa Clara, CA. ISQED best papers are selected and voted upon by a select committee composed of senior technologists from the electronic design automation (EDA), integrated circuit (IC) design, and semiconductor manufacturing communities.
This year's best papers are:
SRAM Leakage Suppression by Minimizing Standby Supply Voltage
Huifang Qin, Yu Cao, Dejan Markovic, Andrei Vladimirescu, Jan
Rabaey, University of California at Berkeley
Scan BIST Targeting Transition Faults Using a Markov Source
Hangkyu Lee and Irith Pomeranz, Purdue University
Sudhakar M. Reddy, University of Iowa
Application Specific Worst Case Corners using Response Surfaces
and Statistical Models
Manidip Sengupta, Sharad Saxena, Lidia Daldoss, Glen Kramer, Sean
Minehane, Jianjun Cheng, PDF Solutions
Robustness Enhancement through Chip-Package Co-Design for
High-Speed Electronics
Meigen Shen, Li-Rong Zheng, Hannu Tenhunen
Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden
"Each of these papers represents one unique aspect of the design for quality and manufacturability", stated Dr. Ali Iranmanesh, ISQED chairman. "These are great example of papers addressing various disciplines of a front-to-back design-for-quality-and-manufacturability mindset, which is the essential focus of ISQED"
ABOUT ISQED
The International Symposium on Quality Electronic Design (ISQED), is a premier Design & Design Automation conference, aimed at bridging the gap between and integration of: electronic design tools and processes, integrated circuit technologies, processes and manufacturing in order to achieve design quality. ISQED is the pioneer and leading conference dealing with design for manufacturability and quality issues. The conference provides a forum to present and exchange ideas and to promote the research, development, and application of design techniques & methods, design processes, EDA design methodologies and EDA tools that address issues impacting the quality of the realization of designs into physical integrated circuits. ISQED emphasizes a holistic approach toward design quality and highlights and accelerates cooperation among the IC Design, EDA, Semiconductor Process Technology and Manufacturing communities.
ISQED is produced and sponsored by the International Society for Quality Electronic Design. The ISQED04 best paper awards were sponsored by Synopsys Inc.
